ComScript was developed to provide an easy and efficient tool to control and collect data from instruments and other devices connected to a PC (via TCP or RS232). While it's much easier than C++, C#, etc. to work with, the conditional, math, file I/O and other expressions make it very powerful . ComScript also allows you to easily ignore the device output you don't care about and collect only the stuff you want (i.e. data parsing). Data can be quickly loaded into variables, evaluated, viewed live, edited and fed into math expressions. If a variable trips an alarm, ComScript can send text messages, email alerts or files to the web for real time data viewing.
ComScript now includes a Script Editor/Builder that allows you to select commands from a menu that are automatically written into your profile (a collection of scripts). Not only does the editor put all of the commands at your fingertips, it also eliminates frustrating syntax and formatting errors. Other features: - built in terminal emulator to quickly test communications with connected RS232 and TCP devices - run other applications such as data plotting and statistical packages from your ComScript program - send files to a web server for real-time data viewing - send email and text message alarm
- Simple text language; no curious graphical widgets - collect data from and control multiple devices at once - Long-term stability for continuous monitoring in plants and laboratories - Automatic Script Editor/Builder - Included email and phone technical support to keep you moving - A great price (2 licensees for $250.00 USD)
ComScript is a great tool for scientists, engineers and plant managers that need to automatically collect data and control devices. You do not need to be an experienced programmer, just run some of the examples and have a look at the scripts.
